AI refers to the simulation of human intelligence in machines designed to think and act like humans. These systems can perform tasks such as learning, reasoning, problem-solving, perception, and language understanding. AI can be categorized into two main types: Narrow AI, which is designed for a specific task, and General AI, which possesses the ability to perform any intellectual task that a human can do.
Machine Learning, a subset of AI, involves the development of algorithms that enable computers to learn from and make predictions or decisions based on data. Instead of being explicitly programmed to perform a task, ML models are trained on data to identify patterns and make informed decisions. ML can be further divided into supervised learning, unsupervised learning, and reinforcement learning.
